Bar insert wear

Just changed my first depower line and noticed that the 'insert' in the hole in the bar has worn through. I'm a bit worried that this might chew up my new depower line! Is this a problem (I think so!) and is it possible to get a new 'insert' (based in UK)? I remember Naish bars had this problem from my Naish days and they used to sell the inserts....

japers the insert is still in there, it's bonded in palce when the carbon is moulded so it can't come out, though you can wear through them eventually.

it does look like you have quite heavy wear on there, have you lost the foam bumper that sits above the chickenloop?

Thanks for the quick reply- yeah I lost the insert when I was in Portugal last month (it wore off) so had to kite for just under a week without one! This did manage to wear the bar foam out a bit as you can see from the ugly glue! I've put a new one on now.

Other than that the bar has had a fair bit of use but nothing ridiculous hence my surprise at seeing the insert so worn... Any suggestions!?

sq - just wondering if you know where I might be able to buy a bar only in the UK? Local shops all need to sell the bar complete or sell depower lines. The rest of the bar is in great condition so I don't want to replace everything just for this...

we don't just sell the bar as an item so any dealer who had one would have stripped it down for the rest of the parts, so i have no idea, sorry.

that said, you've got another good six months riding left in that yet.
