HELP!! 08 vs 07 waroo

Postby cheriberry » Mon Dec 17, 2007 4:41 am

I am a learner and have been learning on an 08 waroo. I really cannot afford the 08 kite as yet and have the chance to buy an 07 a hole lot cheaper.
I am just concerned I might be spewing if i dont buy the 08.
Does anyone know the difference and the advancements of the 08???[/i][/b]
Also should I get an 11 or 9mt. I am female and 60kgs.

Hi, They are both v good kites, if money is an issue you wont be dissapointed with an 07 kite, and if you are learning there wont be a lot of noticable performance difference. 08 has less bar travel for max depower due to the different front bridal.
Where will you be kiting ? what strength winds?
If you're just going to get 1 kite probably the 11 would be the go unless you have a lot of winds over 20knots.

Thanks so much.
I will be kiting mainly on the sunshine coast until I get better then the WORLD!!! haha
Yeah I have been told the 11 would be better.
Does it mean it (the 07) still has the same depower?
I am also looking at a ocean rodeo board 142 outlaw do you know anything about them? Up wind??
Cheers again

Yes 07 has similar depower it just has more bar movement to achieve it, no big deal. same same but different.
Yeah thats a big board for you, you'll outgrow that very quickly.
Do you have someone teaching, helping you?
Would be good to borrow a big board for a few sessions then buy something more suited for long term use.
For the sunshine coast get the 11 for sure.
