I tried to paste it as text, but the formatting doesn't come out correctly so I've used an image. I have the original word file if you want.

Kite Model: 2007 Best Waroo
Kite size: 7m
Bar: 45cm - 25m lines
Riding conditions: 23 - 35 knots, chop and waves
Rider Weight: 145lbs
Board: Naish 5'5" surf-board, Underground 128 twin-tip

Build Quality and finish:

Stitching is very strong, no damage ever after many tumbles in large waves. Big improvement from the 06 models. Battens can break however in waves and there is possibly some stretching in the bridle lines. Bar still looks brand new with little wear.

Handling:

The Waroos are very easy to ride. Very few of my friends have a 7m kite so I often loan it out even in 30+ knots. It is a real community kite. The Waroo 07s fly like a SLE so there is little power when the kite turns. Unhooked tricks are OK although there is sometimes a tendency to back-stall. Kite must be kept steadier during tricks as it is fast-turning because of it's size. Relaunching is very good but the bridle can get wrapped around the tip in waves.

Performance:

Very easy to use with good wind range. Can be a bit 'pulsey' in gusty winds. Sending the kite results in huge floating jumps when the wind is greater than 30 knots. The kite starts to distort quite badly in gusty 40 knots but this is not really safe kiting conditions. These days I use it mostly in waves and it is fast-turning, but steering and stability is lost as the lines slacken. This is also an issue when snow-kiting.

Suitability:

Best suits an intermediate free-riding in rough conditions as it is so user-friendly. Doesn't really pop like a wake-style C kite and not ideal for wave-riding directly at the kite when stationary. Shorter lines may help though.

Conclusion:

I'm very happy with the kite but am looking for a more wave-oriented kite for stronger winds. The Kahoona will probably be a much better option for wave-riding and snow-kiting. I can then give the Waroo away to someone deserving who can't afford to buy a high-wind kite, people here do not earn as much as North Americans or Europeans.

Kahoona, Spreading the love

12M Nemi ‘08
My favorite 5’8”
07 Best-Bar in hand
For some sweet waves
And tricks to land
Not too heavy nor too light
Just enough for my flight.

Spare battens and lots of patches
Look at all those pockets and latches!

Lid, hood or hat
Shouldn’t they attach that?

Seams tight
Seems right
I wish I could kite tonight

Never tire of that Cuben fibre.

Three-layer taped LE
Exclusive, ultimate CFT
Pulleys running seamlessly
Surf-Tough Quality.

Throw down
Pump up.
Got my warm up.

I’m not considered all that tall
But doesn’t that pump seem a bit too small?

Ping, ping...pressure seems right.
A sweet gauge might help my plight.

Double A for the day
The perfect setting for my kind of play.

No time for being idle
Match up a line, and a bridle
A pigtail or two
As a sweet set comes to view

Hit up a bro
Keeping it low
Away I go.

A quick relaunch on the fly
All in less than a blink of an eye

My day was full
A pinch and pull
Always easy never dull

Packed up, loaded up
Never fed up

Always quick and never dirty
Someone shouted “beer-thirty”!

Nimble and quick
Upwind, light wind, occasional trick
No pumping
Just jumping
This kite is “sick”!

With confident stability
Comes a newfound ability
That we call agility.

Turns on a dime,
Just in time.

Light in your hands and wallet too
Even better than that old Waroo!

A reflection on perfection
Not much to do
Maybe just a thing or two?

Four line, five line, one line, no line?
I think most everything is fine.:

No illusion to this conclusion
Only one solution

As I elaborate
On your template

Couple of things to check
It got solved with that new Twisty Tech
But even soon’a
How bout a new Kahoona?
