Testing Lines on that ol' bar

Postby Rastaman3030 » Sun Oct 10, 2010 2:17 am

I have an '07 Best Bar 55cm. I've been using it for many many many sessions and never thought about how the lines may stretch, but recently have been noticing loss in my kites performances overall and in light wind...

What's the correct way to test a bar and its line lengths to see if they've stretched? Put the chicken loop around a tow-hitch and run the lines all the way out and pull tight to see if they're all even? Power/depower tab pulled?

Thanks for the help!

Yup, pretty much.

Set the trim strap for max power and pull the bar all the way back. On the 07 bar the lines should be within an inch or two of each other. any more than that and you need to sort it out.
Go on, ask me.
