Postby burritobandit » Tue May 01, 2012 10:54 pm

Pretty late notice, but this Thursday through Sunday is the SPI Kite Round-Up. It's totally free this year, and there will be quite a few kite brands to demo :fro:

I'll be there Wed night - Sun night. Other Austin/Centex kiters will be getting there Thursday and Friday - Sunday

Carol and I will be out at the site doing demo's for Best. We have Kahoona's, GP's, TS's and Nemesis HP's in all sizes. It looks like the wind might be a little on the light side but hopefully it should be enough to get the bigger kites out on the water.

We may even have a T-shirt or three to give away. Stop by and say hi.

Nice! I just got 9m & 7m TSs and I want to put my Zephyr vs the 17m TS to maybe switch to a full TS quiver ;)

See you there tomorrow!

I havent tried the 17 TS but I received my 15 TS last week and I had the chance to try it out yesterday in some really light stuff +-9-10 knots. Wow this is the LW kite I was looking for. That thing is powerful yet so smooth. The bar pressure is really low for a 15m. The speed is also very good and Steering is very direct.

You cant imagine that your behind a 15m kite :-)

That's good to hear! What I like about my Z is that it has great bottom end, but a lot of top end. I kite in a gusty area, so having good top-end is helpful so I don't get overpowered easily. I have flown it from 9mph to to 26mph (measured on my wind meter). The bar pressure isn't heavy, the power delivery is smooth, and the turning speed/radius is great for it being a 17m.

If the 17 TS can provide that amt of range and performance, I *might* switch.
