Old 20m Waroo

A few years ago I bought a 20M Waroo which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I'd like t buy a new one but they have been discontinued.

I ran into a guy who said he had a 20M Waroo he'd never used and wanted to sell. I checked it out and was disappointed to see that the rigging was different from my 20M in that there were no pulleys. I'm guessing the kite for sale is older.

Can anyone comment on the performance difference that might be caused by the lack of pulleys? I believe my kite is a 2008.

Attached pics of 20M kite for sale

Any counsel appreciated

Thanks

That looks to be a 2006. I never flew a 2006.

The 2006's did have a problem with some of the leading edges exploding. Most of them had the black leading edge, but there were a limited amount of colored leading edges. I heard that the colored leading edges were more prone to exploding. Don't know how true that is!

If you like the 20m waroos, that's cool, but there have been a lot of advances in lightwind kites the last few years. I used love my 15m Waroo, but the new lightwind specific kites that developed out of racing since 2011 or so blow the old waroos away in power and in how they can hang in the air in the lulls.
