Best/peter playing w/ the delta shape?

Postby 123456789 » Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:08 am

Just curious if Best is gonna roll out one of those delta shape kites(north rhino/f-one bandit dos) in the future. Hearing they have alot of power for their size and I need all I can get during light wind summers- preferably from a smaller kite than a blimp.

Peter is working hard on a new kite. because we took the decision to drop the Yarga this year Peter finally has enough time to work on a completely new design.

He's been exploring several different concepts, ultra high aspect sle and low aspect truncated tip designs. He's currently working on some truncated tip|delta shapes.

We'll see what he comes up with, I'll be heading out to meet hi and ride some proto's in a few weeks.

Hi Simon,

why is the Yarga evolution dropped ? ...not enough attractive market ?

Is the new Waroo more C shaped, so they are more overlaped with the Yarga ?

cheers

Fran, C-kites just aren't worth developing, no one buys them, despite what Naish might tell you.

The Delta shape is happening and now, so Peter is seeing if he can bring the same magic to that as he did to the SLE.

Imagine if Peter's delta is as far ahead of the Bandit as the Waroo was of the Xbow....

Now that would be cool.

ETA, first half of 2009, if it works.

Not making a C kite is an embarrassment to the industry Best... The Fuel, Hadlow, Torch and Vegas are the best kites out there. And the Yarga used to be in there... shameful guys.
